EXALT GALLERYは、5月13日から5月27日まで、三澤憲司展　ソフトペインティング《時空を超えた素材》を開催いたします。
開廊記念となる本展では、シリコン樹脂を用い、瞬間の魂の軌跡を封じ込めた作品を展示いたします。

Exalt Gallery is pleased to present “SOFT‐PAINTING 《MATERIAL BEYOND TIME & SPACE》”, a exhibition by Kenji Misawa, from May 13　to May 27.
This will be first exhibition by our gallery and feature recent works using silicon as a material, and with it he imbues his works with the waves of spirit presence.



三澤憲司　略歴

1945  長野県長野市信州新町に生まれる。
1968  多摩美術大学油絵科卒業（斎藤義重　教室）
1969  第1回国際彫刻展（箱根彫刻の森美術館）コンクール賞 受賞。
1970  1年間に渡る、世界23ケ国放浪の旅から帰国。
1983    第16回現代美術展で東京美術館賞受賞。 第3回ヘンリー・ ムーア大賞展で、総重量45 トン以上の7つの作品
           「ランドスケープ・ オールオーバー ウァー ク・ ウツクシガハラ」を山頂に据え付け（美ヶ原高原美術館賞受賞）、この作品より巨石石彫時代に入る 。
1984  文化庁芸術家在外研修員として、ニューヨーク、イサム・ノグチ氏のスタジオにて研修。
           いわき市立美術館彫刻庭、石神井公園池中モニュメント完成。
1986  ハーバー ド大学に客員芸術家として招かれ、同大学のカーペンターセンターにて個展。
           ニューヨーク、ジャック・ティルトンギャラリーでのグループショーで、クライスラー美術館のキューレターに注目されコレクションに加えられる。
1990    遠州灘海浜公園巨大モニュメント（55トン石材）、イトーピア神戸北町彫刻公園広場（総重置120トン御影石）。横浜ビジネスパーク野村不動産鎖モニュメント。
           石と金属、もしくは自然と人工といった異質の物質同士の不調和の調和を図る空間構成による表現を展開し、立体造形としての作品を創作発表する一方、
           日本の伝統的な空間感覚に、自らを媒介として新しい造形感覚・ 空間感覚を結び付けた庭園や環境設計・モニュメントも数多く手掛けている。
1993    滋賀県琵琶湖記念公園（出会いの広場）、突堤、35ヘクタールの周遊歩道、船着場、完成。
           近年では、湖、ダム、河川等ウオーターフロントの周辺整備計画の総合プロデュースによって、大地や地球をテーマに活動。
           福山市市政80周年記念の高さ30メートルのステンレスモニュメント完成。
1996    ふくやま美術館（広島県福山市）にて個展。
2008    国立新美術館（東京・六本木） 文化庁芸術家在外研修制度40周年記念「旅」展、ＤＯＭＡＮＩ展 出展。
2012    国立新美術館（東京・六本木） 文化庁芸術家在外研修制度40周年記念「旅」展、ＤＯＭＡＮＩ展 出展。
2014    オーエスジ一株式会社（豊川市）、鎖のモニュメント「宇宙と地球を結ぶ」7.5メートル、「誕生」（大理石）
2015    オーエスジ一株式会社、鎖のモニュメント「虹の架け橋」 高さ10メートル・幅10メートル 完成。



KENJI MISAWA PROFILE

1945    Born in Shinshu Shimmachi, Nagano City, Nagano.
1968    Graduated Tama Art University in oil painting (under Prof. Yoshishige Saito).
1969    Took Grand Prize at the 1st International Exhibition of Modern Sculpture (Hakone Open-Air Museum).
1970    Visited 23 countries in one year before returning to Japan.
1983    Took the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum Prize at the 16th Modern Art Exhibition.
           Exhibited 7 works with a total weight of over 45 tons on a hillside for "All-Over Work Utsukushigahara" part of the 3rd Henry Moore Prize Exhibition, 
           taking the Utsukushigahara Open-Air Museum Prize, and marking the start of his work on giant rocks.
1984    Worked in Isamu Noguchi's studio in the Overseas Study Program for Artists of the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
           Completed the sculpture garden at the Iwaki City Art Museum, and the pond monument in Shakujii Park.
1986    Invited as guest artist by Harvard University, held Solo Exhibition at the Carpenter Center there.
           Exhibited in a group show at the Jack Tilton Gallery in New York, attracting the attention of a curator of the Chrysler Museum of Art,
           which purchased his works for its collection.
1990    Giant stone monuments at the Enshunada Coastal Park (55 tons), and Itopia Kobe Kitamachi Sculpture Park (granite, 120 tons).
           Chain monument for Nomura Real Estate in the Yokohama Business Park.
           Began work in spatial compositions, seeking the harmony of different materials such as stone and metal, or natural and artificial.
           He created new works of three-dimensional art while also developing new interpretations of traditional Japanese spatial aesthetics in the form of garden
           and environmental design and monuments.
1993    Lake Biwa Commemorative Park (Encounter Plaza), breakwater, 35-hectare walking path, and wharf.
           In recent years he has been active in projects involving the earth, including overall production of projects for lakes, dams, and river waterfront redevelopment.
1996    Stainless steel moniment commemorating the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the City of Fukuyama. (30 meters high)
1998    Solo exhibition at the Fukuyama Museum of Art (Fukuyama, Hirosima pref).
2008 and 2012  Exhibition at the Domani Exhibition, and the Travel Exhibition,
           commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Overseas Study Program for Artista of the Agency for Cultural Affairs, at the National Art Center (Roppongi, Tokyo).
2014   "Connecting Heaven" and "Earth", a chain monument (7.5 meters high), and "Birth" (narble), both for the OSG Corporation (Toyokawa, Aichi pref).
2015   "Rainbow Bridge", a chain monument (10 meters high and 10 meters wide) for the OSG Corpo-ration.
